HeroesHype is back for Phase 2 of Open Division 2018

HeroesHype is excited to announce our continued partnership with Blizzard Entertainment in running the 2018 Heroes Global Championship (HGC) Open Division. Beginning on July 2, HeroesHype will be hosting Phase 2 of the 2018 HGC Open Division for both North America and Europe. After a successful Phase 1, it is our pleasure to provide the ultimate proving grounds for amateur Heroes of the Storm teams. These aspiring players all have one common goal: earning a spot in the Heroes Global Championship.

“Considering how competitive the Open Division was in Phase 1, I can’t wait to see all the new teams fight it out for a chance at a spot in the HGC in Phase 2!” -Mantis, HeroesHype Tournament Director.

About the Heroes Global Championship (HGC)
The Heroes Global Championship (HGC) is the officially sanctioned esports league for Heroes of the Storm®. HGC is a yearlong program in which four major regions (North America, Europe, China, and Korea) each run their own eight-team leagues, the top teams from which will qualify for four international tournaments including the annual HGC Finals. Teams representing the Australia/New Zealand, Latin America, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia regions will compete in their own HGC events throughout the year and have opportunities to qualify for multiple regional and international events.
