Observer, Production – EU Open Division

Observer, EU – Open Division

Are you interested in supporting the live-production of the Open Division? Want to learn some awesome, hands-on skills that can be used in other games too? Love the Open Division? Being an Observer is a great place to start!
This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Responsibilities
Our Production crew philosophizes on teamwork. As an Observer, you’ll be sitting in lobbies and games, communicate between casters and admins, but also you get to be making the camera magic happen. As an Observer, you will be trained to operate the in-game camera in order to show the hottest action and gameplay per game in the Open Division. Production crew will be assisting casters before the tournament to ensure their sound and equipment are operating properly. Not only are you going to help run the show, you will be the liaison between casters, the tournament admins and the amateur teams: bringing people in for interviews, directing casters to exciting matches to follow, ensuring proper start times with games and more.

Expectations
Observers will need to have good internet and a keen eye on gameplay. While we can teach and train the basics, you’ll have to be a self-starting individual who enjoys being challenged. You’re someone who has a lot of experience in the game and can understand where and when good plays are about to occur. You don’t have to be a Grand Master to be an observer, but you should definitely have a decent amount of watching experience and high-understanding of the Open Division. You are required to be online Mondays and Tuesdays at CET. You must have good communication skills and be fluent in English. You’ll be observing between 8-12 hours a week.
